Full description

Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.

Leat depicted on the Tithe Map, running from the River Walkham to Cole's Tenement (43, 44 and 44a, on the Sampford Spiney apportionment). At the Cole's Tenement property, this leat tracks around the outsided of a garden plot (44a) and appears to have a pond within the garden plot. Leat then joins the leat to the south.
Map object partly based on this source.

Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.

Leat partly depicted on the late 19th century historic map; only the eastern end where it is taken off the River Walkham. The western end appears to have fallen out of use, presumably related to the development of the 'Foxhams' property to the north.

Ordnance Survey, 2014, MasterMap (Cartographic). SDV355681.

'Drain' partly depicted on the modern mapping.
