Orchard banks of probable post-medieval to modern date are visible as a series of earthwork banks on aerial photographs of 1946 and 1967, to the south of the farmstead of Chapelhaies, with which they were likely associated. The orchard banks occupy a small irregular shaped field of 0.32 hectares classified on the Bradninch parish tithe apportionment of approximately 1838-48 as an orchard, although the trees appear to have been grubbed out by the time of the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880’s-90’s. The northwest to southeast aligned banks remain visible as very slight earthworks on aerial photographs of 1967, although appear to have been completely levelled by 1989.
