Cropmark ditches of potential medieval to post-medieval date are visible on digital images derived from aerial photographs of 2002, to the northwest of Stokehouse. The two linear and parallel cropmarks are northeast to southwest aligned and are spaced approximately 7m apart. They broadly respect the historic field patterns and may form part of a double-ditched field boundary or represent the remnants of a track or holloway with flanking ditches. The diffuse nature of the cropmarks may also, however, infer a modern agricultural origin. The cropmarks were not visible on other aerial photographs viewed as part of this survey.
