The site is classified as an orchard on the Bradninch parish tithe map of approximately 1838-48.

The orchard is symbolised on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880’s-90’s.

Orchard banks of probable post-medieval to modern date are visible as a series of linear earthwork banks on aerial photographs of 1946 onwards, to the north of Trinity Cottages. The site of the orchard is first mentioned on the Bradninch parish tithe map apportionment of approximately 1838-48 and is symbolised on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880’s-90’s. The orchard banks are nortnorthwest to southsoutheast aligned and occupy an area of approximately 0.20 hectares of gentle south facing ground. The earthwork banks remain visible on aerial photographs of 1967 and on digital images derived from Lidar data captured during 2005.
