Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2014-2015, East and Mid Devon River Catchments National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV356883.

A cropmark ditch of potential medieval date is visible on aerial photographs of 1967, to the northeast of Halsewood Farm. The short linear ditch segment is northeast to southwest aligned, is visible to a length of approximately 27.5m and broadly corresponds with historic field boundaries to the east and west, both of which are depicted on the Cullompton parish tithe map of approximately 1838-48. The former ditch may form part of a series of smaller land parcels depicted on the tithe map at Halswood, although appears to have passed out of use by this time. The cropmark ditch was not visible on other aerial photographs made available to the survey.
