A quarry of post 1967 date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1989 onwards, to the east of Exeland. The quarry is semi-circular in shape, measures approximately 23m in length and is located towards the southwestern corner of a field, adjacent to an un-named road. Construction of the quarry clearly post-dates aerial photographs of 1967 and has been recorded as part of this survey to prevent any potential confusion as to its antiquity. It remains visible on digital images derived from aerial photographs taken in 2002 and 2010.
