Orchard banks of probable post-medieval to modern date are visible as a series of linear earthwork banks on aerial photographs of 1967, at Underleigh Farm. The site of the orchard is first symbolised on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880’s-90’s. Aerial photographs of 1946 show that the orchard trees remain largely intact, although by 1967 these have been largely grubbed out, leaving a series of three parallel northeast to southwest aligned earthwork banks, on which the fruit trees were established, visible. The banks occupy the northeast corner of the orchard and were not clearly visible on other aerial photographs or digital images viewed as part of this survey and their present-day survival is unclear.
