Full description
Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.
'Herns Pit' is depicted on the Tithe Map; 118 on the Meavy apportionment: 'Houses and court'. House to the south, with farm buildings on the west and north of the yard.

'Hernspitt'. Some changes by the late 19th century; buildings on the west side no longer there and new small buildings added there, as well as east and south-east of the house.
