Full description
Environment Agency, 2005-2012, LiDAR DTM data JPEG image (1m resolution), LIDAR SS9509 Environment Agency DTM 19-DEC-2005 & 14-20-FEB-2012 (Cartographic). SDV357033.
The possible quarry is visible as an earthwork pit.

A quarry of probable post-medieval to modern date is visible as an earthwork pit on digital images derived from Lidar data captured during 2005 and 2012, to the southwest of West Pitt Farm. The sub-oval shaped feature measures approximately 43m in length by 20m in width and is sited on moderate to steep southwest facing slope. The probable quarry was masked by dense tree cover of Pitt Wood and as such was not visible on aerial photographs consulted during the survey, other than DTM Lidar images captured during 2005 and 2012.
