A linear cropmark of a ditch flanked earthwork bank is visible.

A former ditched field boundary bank of possible medieval or post-medieval date was visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs of 1984, to the north-east of Westcott. The former boundary sits comfortably within the extant field pattern and was probably an extension of a field boundary to the south, depicted on the Tithe Map for Cullompton, but removed prior to the creation of the Ordnance Survey first edition 25 maps of the 1880s-1890s. The cropmark field boundary is itself not depicted on the Tithe Map and therefore probably passed out of use some point prior to the 1840s.
