An oval pit approximately 0.1 hectares in area was visible as a cropmark and earthwork on aerial photographs and images derived from lidar to the north of Garlandhayes Farm. The pit was probably the earthwork remains of a former quarry of post medieval date. It is not depicted on the Ordnance Survey First Edition 25inch map and had therefore probably passed out of use by the 1880s.
