The quarry pit is obscured by dense tree cover and was not visible on other aerial photographs or digital images made available to the survey.

Full description

The former quarry is visible as a slight earthwork pit.

A quarry of probable post-medieval to modern date is visible as an earthwork pit on digital images derived from Lidar data captured between 2005 and 2010, to southeast of Colebrook. The pit is sub-square in shape, measures approximately 29m in length by 27m in width and is situated in an area characterised by similar such features. The quarry pit is obscured by dense tree cover and was not visible on other aerial photographs or digital images made available to the survey.
