A quarry of probable post-medieval to modern date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1946 onwards, at Knightswood Farm. The oval-shaped quarry pit measures approximately 45m in length by 36m in width and is situated in an area characterised by similar such features. The former quarry remains visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs up until 1989, although is not visible after this date and its survival is uncertain.
