A quarry of probable post-medieval to modern date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards, to the southeast of Little Hackland. The former quarry is largely obscured by thick tree cover, although remains clearly visible as an earthwork pit on digital images derived from Lidar data captured between 2005 and 2010.

The quarry is symbolised on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880’s-90’s.

The quarry is visible as an earthwork pit, although is largely obscured by thick tree cover.

A quarry of probable post-medieval to modern date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards, to the southeast of Little Hackland. The semi-circular shaped quarry pit is first symbolised on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880’s-90’s. It measures approximately 54m in length by 21m in width and abuts an historic and extant field boundary along its western edge. The former quarry is largely obscured by thick tree cover, although remains clearly visible as an earthwork pit on digital images derived from Lidar data captured between 2005 and 2010.
