A quarry of probable post-medieval to modern date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards, to the northwest of Hackland Manor. The oval shaped quarry pit measures approximately 76m in length by 60m in width and is situated in an area characterised by similar such features. The former quarry pit remains visible as an earthwork pit on digital images derived from Lidar data captured between 2005 and 2010.
