Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2014-2015, East and Mid Devon River Catchments National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV356883.

A former field boundary of potential medieval date is visible as an earthwork bank on aerial photographs of 1946 onwards and as an earthwork and cropmark bank, with possible flanking cropmark ditch on aerial photographs of 1967. The nature of this possible northwest to southeast aligned medieval field boundary is largely unclear since the tithe map for this area is incomplete. It comprises an earthwork bank visible at it northwest extent and approximately 117m in length, with two possible shorter sections visible as a cropmark bank to the southeast. Faint traces of a possible flanking cropmark ditch are also visible on the western side of the cropmark bank. The earthwork bank appears to have been completely levelled by the time of aerial photographs of 1989, whilst the possible cropmark bank and ditch were not visible on other aerial photographs or digital images viewed as part of this survey.
