The earthwork remains of an orchard of probable post-medieval date were visible as banks to the north of Upton Farm on digital images derived from lidar captured in 2005 and 2010. The visible earthworks survived on the eastern portion of the plot and represented approximately half the area of an orchard depicted on the Ordnance Survey first edition 25 inch map. The orchard remained well planted in 1946 but had been cleared by 1967. The earthwork banks cannot be seen on the lidar images on the western half of the orchard and probably had been levelled.
