Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2014-2015, East and Mid Devon River Catchments National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV356883.

A former field boundary of probable medieval date was visible on aerial photographs of 1967 as a low earthwork bank to the north-east of Sherway Farm. The low curvilinear bank was probably a south-eastern continuation of a field boundary depicted on the Tithe Map for Clyst Hidon that was removed prior to the 1840s. The north-western section of the boundary remains depicted on the Ordnance Survey first edition 25 inch map and has therefore not been transcribed. The earthwork is not visible on more recent aerial photographs and has probably been levelled.
