Orchard tree planting banks of probable post medieval to 19th or early 20th century date were visible as earthwork banks at Langford Court on aerial photographs of the 1960s.
The banks fall within an orchard circa 0.9 hectares in area depicted on the Ordnance Survey first edition 25inch map, which remained densely planted into the 1940s, obscuring the earthwork banks from view. The trees had been cleared from the orchards to the south of the farm by the 1967 but no banks were visible in this area. The planting was thinner to the north revealing approximately 0.8 hectares roughly north to south orientated earthwork banks. Due to the remaining tree planting it was not possible to accurately transcribe the width of the banks, only their spacing and direction. The visible banks have been levelled during subsequent expansion of the farmstead building complex.
