The possible quarry is visible as an earthwork pit.

A possible quarry of post-medieval to modern date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards, at Higher Kingsford. The slightly irregular shaped quarry pit measures approximately 23m in length by 18m in width and abuts Long Drag road along its southern edge. It is located within an area characterised by similar such features located further to the north. The former quarry remains visible as an earthwork pit on digital images derived from Lidar data captured between 2005-2010.
