Farmstead dates to at least the early 16th century, based on documentary evidence, although may be older. Depicted on the Tithe Map, layout of the farm has changed little since the early 19th century.

Full description

Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.

Wedlake is depicted on the Tithe Map; 217 on the Peter Tavy apportionment ('House and court'). Farmstead consists of a rectangular farmhouse at the north-eastern side of the yard and three farm buildings bordering the yard on the west and south.

The layout of the farm has changed little since the Tithe Map depiction.
