The site is listed as an orchard on the Halberton parish tithe apportionment of approximately 1838-48.

Orchard banks of probable post-medieval to modern date are visible as a series of linear earthwork banks on aerial photographs of 1966 onwards, to the southeast of Moorstone Barton. The site of the orchard is listed on the Halberton parish tithe apportionment of approximately 1838-48, with aerial photographs of 1947 showing that the orchard remains largely intact. By 1966, however, the orchard trees have been partly grubbed out, leaving a series of partial northeast to southwest aligned banks, upon which the fruit trees were established, visible. The orchard trees have been almost entirely removed by 1989. The surviving earthwork banks occupy an area of approximately 0.21 hectares of east facing slope, within a single elliptical shaped plot depicted on the parish tithe map. The orchard banks remain visible as a series of earthwork banks on digital images derived from Lidar data captured in 2005 and from aerial photographs taken in 2010.
