Cropmarks of possible former ditches of uncertain date are visible on infra-red digital images derived from aerial photographs taken in 2006, to the southwest of Kingsley House. The cropmark ditches are fairly well-defined in places, are visible as a series of fragmented curvilinear and linear cropmarks and are situated on gentle southeast facing slope. The cropmarks appear to form part of the northern extent of a possible sub-oval shaped enclosure which measures approximately 127m in length. The presence of other cropmarks within the immediate vicinity which are clearly of geological origin, however, cast some doubt on this interpretation. That said, the northernmost curvilinear cropmark does appear to represent a former ditched feature. Further field investigation, such as geophysical survey, may help to shed additional light on this possible enclosure. The cropmarks were not visible on other aerial photographs or digital images made available to the survey.
