Full description

Marlow, P. O., 2013, Cobbles in Devon, 52, Fig. 2 (Article in Serial). SDV358513.

A 'cause-way or path' is recorded at Holy Cross in 1551. However, the present cobbled paths may be part of the extensive restoration of the church that was undertaken between 1848 and 1889. The central part of one of the paths has been recently reset with paving slabs to facilitate access for the less able.
