Summary

No longer extant; a small house is depicted on the Tithe Map close to East Corn Mill. Shown on ealy 20th century historic map and can be seen on 1940s aerial photograph. Marked as demolished in 1978 when it was highlighted in list of Grade III listed buildings.

Full description

Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.

House and garden with small outbuilding depicted on the tithe map. 730 on apportionment; 'House and garden'. Shown as separate from East Corn Mill that adjoins it.


Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.

Extension shown on the southern side of the house, creating an L-shaped property. Garden depicted but outbuilding shown on Tithe Map now gone.

Early 19th century map depiction is unchanged from the late 19th century map.

1940s aerial photograph shows the building still in existence and appears to be roofed (although image is unclear).

Cottage just north-east of Old Mill (SX750809). Demolished.
