A possible simple catch meadow of probable 20th century date was visible as a single narrow earthwork ditch approximately 100 metres long on the south-east facing combe slopes below Rhode Farm. The gutter was not visible on aerial photograph of 1946 but appeared to have been recently used on aerial photographs of March 1967. It was possibly supplied by a pond at Rhode Farm and might therefore have distributed water enriched with farmyard manure. The gutter cannot be clearly identified on more recent aerial photographs and has probably been levelled.
