A possible rectilinear earthwork platform of unknown function was visible on aerial photographs of 1946 to the north of Higher Roach Farm.
The earthwork fell within a field to the north of the farm used as an orchard by the mid-19th century and the earthwork might predate this use, and be medieval to post-medieval in date. The orchard boundaries that defined the western edge of the platform in 1946 have since been removed but their position can be seen on images derived from lidar, as can the north-western limit of the possible platform.
