Orchard banks of probable post-medieval to modern date are visible as a series of linear earthwork banks on digital images derived from Lidar data captured between 2005 and 2010, at Middle Curham. The site of the orchard is first listed on the Halberton parish tithe apportionment of approximately 1838-48, although by 1966 aerial photographs show that the orchard trees have been completely grubbed out, although the earthwork banks, on which the fruit trees were established, were not clearly visible. Lidar images of between 2005 and 2010, however, show a series of partial northeast to southwest aligned banks which occupy an area of approximately 0.35 hectares of northeast facing slope. A second smaller area of possible orchard banks is located approximately 70m to the north.
