Possible extraction pits of post-medieval to modern date are visible as earthwork pits on aerial photographs of 1967, to the northwest of the former farm of Haypark. The two adjacent earthwork pits are likely associated with the former farmstead of Haypark, possibly for the extraction of building material, although it appears that southern of the two was later utilised as a pond by the time of the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880’s-90’s. The former farmstead and extraction pits have been completely levelled and the site developed for residential housing by 1988.
