Orchard banks of probable post-medieval to modern date are visible as a series of linear earthwork banks on aerial photographs of 1967, at Hartnoll Farm. The site of orchard is first listed on the parish tithe apportionment of approximately 1838-48. It remains largely covered with fruit trees on aerial photographs up to 1947, although by 1967 the trees have been partly cleared, leaving a series of partial linear earthwork banks, on which the fruit trees were established, visible. The surviving northwest to southeast aligned banks occupy an area of approximately 0.13 hectares of fairly level ground within a single rectilinear plot depicted on historic mapping, on the southeast side of the farm. The orchard trees have been completely cleared on aerial photographs of 1984, although any surviving banks were not clearly visible, and by 2010 the site has been almost completely cleared and utilised for agricultural or light industrial use. Slight earthworks may, however, still survive towards the southeast portion of the former orchard.
