A small rectangular platform or pit roughly 20 metres across was visible on aerial photographs of 1999 as a pale cropmark between 95 and 100 metres OD, just to the west of a hill summit to the west of Hele. The possible platform remains visible as a subtle earthwork on digital images derived from lidar captured in 2005. The earthwork appears to respect the extant field boundary and might therefore be post-medieval to 20th century date.
