Ordnance Survey, 1966, OS/66184 V, OS/66184 V 213-214 22-JUL-1966 (Aerial Photograph). SDV357044.

The rectangular area is filled with water, and a bridge is visible between the raised central island and the southern edge.

Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2014-2015, East and Mid Devon River Catchments National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV356883.

A rectangular pond north of Bradfield House is visible on aerial photographs from the 1940s onwards and depicted as an embanked feature on late-19th century maps. It is visible on aerial photographs taken in April 1947 as a dry pale area, with what appear to be irregular dark drainage channels and a dark roughly circular central feature. By July 1953 a probable jetty structure had been constructed on the northern edge, although the earliest aerial photographic evidence of the pond being water-filled dates to 1966, when a bridge linking the southern edge to a central island was visible. The pond is visible on more recent aerial photographs and the central island appears to survive, although perhaps reduced in extent.
