Three linear earthwork banks are visible.

Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2014-2015, East and Mid Devon River Catchments National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV356883.

Parallel linear earthwork banks, circa 4 metres wide, are indistinctly visible on aerial photographs taken in 1947 and 1955, although obscured by the tree canopy, and partially visible on images derived from lidar data captured between 2005 and 2010. Their alignment is roughly cross-contour and they are interpreted as banks for fruit tree planting, which are likely to be post-medieval or 19th century in date. This field was depicted as orchard on the late-19th century mapping. The earthworks are likely to survive in part, although the trees have been removed. The transcription of the banks is based on the lidar data, which is the only source clear enough to map from, but the extent of the area of earthworks visible on the aerial photographs is also mapped.
