A possible former trackway or field boundary of potential medieval date is visible as an earthwork ditch on aerial photographs of 1946 onwards, off Peadhill Lane. The east to west aligned linear earthwork may have formed part of a trackway leading off from Peadhill Lane to the east and linking up with a northeast to southwest aligned track depicted on the parish tithe map to the west. The earthwork may have also served as a former field boundary as well as possible trackway since it closely respects the historic field patterns of medieval enclosures based on strip fields, although clearly passed out of use by the time of the parish tithe map. The earthwork ditch remains partly visible, although largely levelled, on digital images derived from Lidar data captured between 2005 and 2012.
