15 The Square (Unlisted)
This small house is typical of many built in the 19th century with slate roofs, multi-paned casements and textured rendered walls, reflecting earlier vernacular styles and creating a rather more rural than urban appearance -like that of 6 New Street (just described) built two centuries earlier. While not listed, its inclusion here reflects the significance of the type, which is particularly prevalent in Lower Street.
