Exeter Archaeology, 2003, Archaeological Asssessment of Land off Charlotte Street, Crediton, 3 (Report - Assessment). SDV352118.
Building depicted in this location on John Norden's map of 1598 and marked as 'Barton', although it is not clear if the property itself was the barton or if it belonged to the barton. The eastern boundary of the plot is formed by a road that may represent an earlier alignment of Charlotte Street.
