A possible quarry of probable post-medieval to modern date was visible on images derived from lidar as a small earthwork pit on the south facing slopes of Dolbury Hill in Killerton Park. The pits is irregular in shape and measures up to circa 30 metres across. The earthwork is obscured from view by dense woodland planting but is visible on images derived from lidar. The pit corresponds closely with a pit depicted on the Ordnance Survey first edition map of circa 1880 but is larger in size, presumably having been further worked. It is probable that the quarry pit impinged into the earthworks of Dolbury Hillfort.
