An earthwork pit is visible.

A possible quarry of probable post-medieval to modern date was visible on images derived from lidar as an earthwork pit on the slopes of a west facing scarp in Columbjohn Wood. The pits is irregularly shaped and measures up to 85 metres long. It is obscured from view from the air by the dense woodland planting of Columbjohn Wood. It does not correspond with any pits depicted on the Ordnance Survey first edition 25 inch map of the late 19th century, and therefore probably passed out of use prior to this date.
