An incomplete circular ring ditch of probable Bronze Age to Roman date is visible on aerial photographs as a cropmark on the gentle west-facing slopes overlooking the River Culm. The cropmark of the ditch is between 2 to 4 metres in width, enclosing an area approximately 12 metres in diameter. The ring ditch is probable evidence of a round barrow of Bronze Age date but could also be interpreted as evidence of an unenclosed round house of Iron Age to Roman date. The cropmark was previously recorded in a single record with larger and more complete sized ring ditches, visible circa 20 metres to the north (MDV108814) and immediately to the south (MDV56025).
