Orchard banks of probable post-medieval to modern date are visible as a series of linear earthwork banks on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards, at Willand. The site of the orchard is listed on the Willand parish tithe apportionment of approximately 1838-48, although by 1947 the orchard trees have been largely grubbed out, leaving a series of parallel earthwork banks, upon which the fruit trees were established, visible. The northwest to southeast aligned banks occupy an area of approximately 0.11 hectares of gentle southeast facing slope, within a single irregular shaped plot depicted on historical mapping. The earthworks are visible on aerial photographs up until 1967, although their survival after this date is uncertain. The site of the former orchard has, however, been completely levelled and developed for residential housing by 1996.
