Orchard banks of probable post-medieval to modern date are visible as a series of linear earthwork banks on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards, at Tiverton Junction. The site of the orchard is first symbolised on the Willand parish tithe map of approximately 1838-48, although by 1947, aerial photographs show that the orchard trees have been partly grubbed out, leaving a series of parallel northwest to southeast aligned earthwork banks, on which the fruit trees were established, visible. These banks occupy an area of approximately 0.19 hectares of gentle northwest facing slope, within a single plot depicted on the parish tithe map. The orchard banks remain visible on aerial photographs up until 1966, although have been completely levelled and likely destroyed by 1977 during construction of the M5.
