The orchards are listed as such on the Halberton parish tithe apportionment of approximately 1838-48.

Orchard banks of probable post-medieval to modern date are visible as a series of linear earthwork banks on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards, to the north of Four Cross Ways. The site of the orchards is first listed on the Halberton parish tithe apportionment of approximately 1838-48. The orchard banks are broadly northeast to southwest aligned and occupy three adjacent plots depicted on the parish tithe map and are situated on northwest facing slope, on the western side of a un-numbered road. The orchard banks remain visible on digital images derived from Lidar data captured between 2005 and 2010.
