Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2014-2015, East and Mid Devon River Catchments National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV356883.

Parallel linear earthwork banks, circa 2 metres wide, are visible on images derived from lidar data captured in 2010. The field is depicted as orchard on the late-19th century mapping, and the ground surface is obscured by the tree canopy on aerial photographs taken in 1947. The ridges are interpreted as banks for fruit tree planting, which are likely to be post-medieval or 19th century in date and probably associated with the nearby France Farm. The earthworks, and some of the fruit trees, are likely to survive.
