The site of the orchard is first symbolised on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880’s-90’s and remains largely covered with trees on aerial photographs of 1966. By 1984, the trees have been completely cleared, although the orchard banks are not clearly visible, only being perceptible on Lidar images.
