A possible water meadow system of 19th century date is visible as a series of earthwork ditches on aerial photographs of 1946, to the southeast of Sampford Peverell. The ill-defined and fragmentary earthworks are curvilinear in shape and cover an area of approximately 1.27 hectares of south facing slope. The system comprises a series of gutters which measure less than 2m in width and appear to tap a stream located to the northwest. The possible water meadow was not visible on aerial photographs after 1946 and has likely been completely levelled.
