A roughly north-south aligned feature coloured in blue is visible on the Axmouth Tithe Map of 1842.

An unknown feature is visible on the Axmouth Tithe Map of 1842, running on a roughly north-south alignment from a track to the south of Dowlands, following the line of a field boundary and onto the beach to the east of Axmouth. As the feature extends as far as the beach it is possible that it represents the line of a drainage ditch, or perhaps represents a division of land.
