Full description

Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.

A rectangular building is shown within the northwest corner of plot 366, next to the road, on the Axmouth Tithe Map. The plot is recorded as 'Little Rough Lea and Barn' within the Tithe Apportionment.

The building is still present, with an additonal rectangular building now shown to the south. The plot is labelled as 'Rough Leigh Barn.'

The layout of buildings is similar to that shown on the First Edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey map. The plot is labelled as 'Rough Leigh Barn.'

A rectangular building is shown within the northwest corner of plot 366, next to the road, on the Axmouth Tithe Map of 1842. The plot is recorded as 'Little Rough Lea and Barn' within the Axmouth Tithe Apportionment. The barn is labelled on both the First and Second Edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey maps as 'Rough Leigh Barn,' and an additional rectangular building is now shown to the south. Only the southern-most building is present on the Ordnance Survey Master Map.
