A 'Saw Pit' is labelled and possibly depicted on the First Edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880's-90's.

The saw pit is not labelled on the Second Edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey map of between 1904-06.

A 'Saw Pit' is labelled and possibly depicted as a rectangular structure on the First Edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880's-90's, to the west of Ware House, Uplyme. It is no longer viisble on the 2nd edition 25 inch OS map of between 1904-1906.
