An 'Old Quarry' is labelled and illustrated next the eastern boundary of the field on the First Edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey map. The quarry is also illustrated on the Second Edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey map, but is no longer labelled. This quarry coincides with the layout of a copse within the eastern side of plot 350 on the earlier Axmouth Tithe Map of 1842. The quarry is not present on the Ordnance Survey Master Map.
