Parallel linear earthwork banks, circa 4 metres wide and aligned broadly cross-contour, are visible on aerial photographs taken from 1947 onwards. The field is depicted as orchard on the late-19th century mapping, and the ridges are interpreted as banks for fruit tree planting, which are likely to be post-medieval or 19th century in date. The ground surface is largely obscured by the tree canopy on the early aerial photographs, and the banks have been transcribed from images derived from lidar data captured between 2005 and 2010.
